About Me

I got into Ceramics in 1998 by what seemed like chance and discovered a creative part of me that I was not aware existed. I took a 4 year break to have our kids and since then I haven’t looked back. Every time we move to a different country/location, one of the first things I look for is where to take another ceramics class. I’ve been blessed to live on 3 continents and privileged to have various teachers who helped me find my voice.I’m drawn to functional ware because it mainly involves food, “breaking bread together," it serves a purpose of reinforcing the importance of relationships, sustenance and life. Working with clay is a spiritual exercise for me, it reminds me of life’s journey; making a piece on the wheel starts with centering - ensuring that all the clay particles are aligned, then everything flows from there. However, in centering the clay, I find myself centered and I’m able to see and think clearly about the issues of life. 20% of my sales go to help a prison ministry and a food pantry, so your purchase of any item which was handmade with love blesses so many others.Thank you for visiting my site.
